Leadership

Pastors Monte & Peggy Knudsen have a burning compassion for raising up leaders in the ministry, teaching parents how to raise their children, showing families how to manage their finances, how to become overcomers, and helping them to follow God’s plan for their lives. Their sermons are full of wisdom, knowledge, and compassion, with easy-to- understand steps from the Bible that truly change lives.
In ministry since 1980, they has traveled all around the world preaching, teaching and singing about what it takes to become a victorious Christian.  

My primary focus is our youth ministry. We love to work with teenagers! We have both been serving as youth leaders for several year. In July of 2024, we joined the staff at Faith Christian Outreach Church. We know that this is EXACTLY where God wants us to be. One thing that is clear throughout the Bible, there is no better place to be than in the middle of God's will. We are excited about the future God has for our family at FCOC!

My family has attended FCOC since I was a young boy, driving over an hour to church each week. As I got older my family moved to Mount Pleasant so that we could be closer to church. After graduating high school I joined the Marines, got married and had two children. Retiring from the Marines after a 20 year career, felt lead of the Lord to come back to Iowa and help FCOC. The fall of 2022 I came on staff and it has been an exciting adventure. 

I have worked in media for several different national & international ministries before joining the team at FCOC. I also worked to develop radio broadcasts for churches as well as the producer of the Empowerment 15 broadcast. I  joined the team in 2010. Having been in the church all of my life, coming home was the right fit to help launch FCOC satellite campuses and develop the media department in a bigger way. I am married to my wife, Bethany and have two children.
